Exponential SPGD Algorithm for Adaptive Optics Systems in UOWC

Abstract

A novel adaptive optics (AO) algorithm based on an exponential loop gain is presented with the objective of increasing the efficiency of the stochastic parallel gradient descent (SPGD) algorithm in correcting optical wireless signal distortion, caused by oceanic turbulence in underwater environments. © 2025 IEEE.
